Description: The general pharmaceutical legislation revision will critically shape future medicines regulation in Europe. Draft texts introduce sweeping changes impacting the current 20 year old framework. This session will discuss the key changes proposed in the revision of the General Pharmaceutical legislation, explore the opportunities and challenges it seeks to address, and the strategic implications for stakeholders. The recent proposed pharmaceutical reform is anchored on improving access, promoting innovation and competitiveness, providing incentives for innovation, and addressing drug shortages. The proposed policy measures have been a topic of debate with many divided on the potential benefit and risks to the entire ecosystem. In this session, we will convene a panel of industry, non-profit and agency experts to discuss what lies ahead and how to strategically navigate the operational complexities that may arise.
