Dr. Christina Reufsteck, Biocompatibility Expert, TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH (Medical & Health Services)
Christina is working as biocompatibility expert at the Notified Body TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH in Munich, Germany, and assesses the Technical Documentation of high-risk medical devices. She is the global responsible for biocompatibility within TÜV SÜD and works in standardization for ISO/TC 194 (Biological and clinical evaluation of medical devices).
Christina studied Biology and earned a PhD in cancer research. Afterwards, she joined an accredited biocompatibility test laboratory, where she conducted studies of cytotoxicity, hemocompatibility and implantation according to the ISO 10993 series.
