Radu Popescu, MD

European Medicines Agency

Radu Popescu is a medical doctor and prior to joining the EMA, he held various clinical operations and regulatory affairs roles in several CROs. He joined the European Medicines Agency 14 years ago and worked in scientific advice and human medicines authorisation before deciding to promote transparency in clinical research. He has actively contributed to the implementation of clinical data publication policy (Policy 0070) and to the drafting of several guidance documents in the areas of commercially confidential information and anonymisation. In his current role he utilises his multidisciplinary experience and knowledge in support of the EMA transparency activities.
