Paul Piscoi

Policy Officer - Unit D.3: Medical Devices
European Commission - Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety

Paul Piscoi graduated as a medical doctor and has been working at the European Commission for more than eleven years. Since February 2012, he has worked as a Policy and Scientific Officer in the Unit dealing with medical devices, currently Unit D.3 of the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety – DG SANTE.
Besides the participation in the drafting of implementing acts related to the new Medical Devices Regulations and other tasks, he is responsible for the Chairing of the Clinical Investigation and Evaluation Working Group, the Borderline and Classification Working Group, vigilance coordination, crisis management and is the liason with EMA for the expert panels in the field of medical devices.
